| VAUTID has been involved in abrasion solutions for more than 60 years. The vast experience of wear applications in a wide range of industries has enabled VAUTID to solve the most diverse wear problems for customers around the world. Longer equipment life means protecting important resources for both businesses, and or the environment.
An application analysis is conducted with the customer. This leads to proposals for wear reduction. A customised solution is then developed from the wide range of VAUTID materials.
Sectors served includes concrete industry, matellurgical industry, cement industry, coal-fired power stations, quaries, sand and gravel works, waste inceration, mines and opencast mining, recycling industry, protection of the environment, glass industry, brickworks and asphalt industry.

| Vautid Hardfacing Materials:

Hardfacing welding materials are made of many different materials: hardfaced welding materials, rust-free auxiliary welding materials, repair welding
additives, special materials. They are available as stick electrodes or tubular wires.
Typical application examples for VAUTID hardfacing welding materials are the coating of mixing tools, hardfacing of excavator teeth, hardfacing of bucket chain excavators and breaking stars for sintering plants.

| Vautid Wear Plates:

Compound wear plates are composite plates which are economically produced using a special deposition welding method for low mixture with the main body and very high melting power, from which parts conforming to the design standards which can be hot or cold formed can be manufactured using plasma cutting, similar to simple structural steels. The fastening can be done by welding on to the back, bolting on or in the same way as with any other welded construction.
VAUTID compound wear plates are used where wear protection without supporting substructure is desired as a self-supporting construction for large areas with high mechanical loads and great operational reliability, e.g. screens, hopper linings, vibration conveyors, fan impellers, casings, mixers, cyclone separators, sifters.

| Vautid Wear Resistant Castings:

VAUTID stainless steel casting is the efficient wear protection measure for large series. The parts can be manufactured in green sand, CO² sand, furan sand, in ceramics and Croning® moulds. Components with weights per unit from 1 kg to 6,000 kg are manufactured at different sites in Europe. The parts can be made using wood, plastic, metal and polystyrol in our own model making. The solidification is determined using computer simulation; the feeder and gating technology is thus optimised.
The following analyses are performed in the course of the quality control: Hardness (HB, HRC, HV, Ecotyp), ultrasonic test, magnetic powder test, structure, tensile strength, elongation, impact bending strength, dimensional check, wear test,corrosion test and oxidation test.
